Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (404) 748-9577. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is atwoodspizzacafe.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 1,113 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Atlanta.
Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I ordered from Atwood Pizza Cafe for a volunteer event and honestly didnβt know what to expect, but I was so impressed! The pizza actually arrived ahead of schedule, which had me a little nervous because I thought it might not taste as good once it got cold. I was completely wrongβit was still absolutely delicious, even cold! We tried the Lazy Cat pizza, and I wasnβt sure if I would enjoy it because onions can sometimes have a strong or interesting flavor, but it ended up being SO good. Everything worked together perfectly. The cannolis were great, and the garlic knots were unlike any garlic knots Iβve had before. They almost had this fried garlic knot flavor and texture that made them stand out from the typical ones you get at other pizza places. Everything we ordered was delicious, and after such a tiring volunteer event, having such a good dinner waiting for us made the end of the day feel especially rewarding. Iβm already thinking Atwood Pizza Cafe will be my go-to for our next event. Thank you for the great food and for helping us end a long day of volunteering on such a good note! Weβll definitely be ordering again.

Cam is the best! He was very helpful and made our first experience here a great one. We just moved to the area and have already planned to make it a frequent spot for lunch and dinner. The Lazy Cat pizza was perfectly cooked and thin crust. Any pizza with ricotta I immediately have to try. The caramelized onions and roasted red peppers add a really nice sweetness to the pizza. The creamy alfredo had a great garlic flavor, perfectly sauced and I love how they broil the cheese on top. We also ordered a simple salad with lemon basil dressing which was super fresh. The portion sizes were incredible especially considering their prices are very affordable for the quality of food they are serving. I canβt wait to come back. P.S. the food looked and smelled so good when it came out that we immediately dug in and forgot to take a picture!

The pizza here is consistently good pizza--if you like thin crust, full of flavor, and personal pies--all for a great deal! I came and ordered a pie and vine, where you can get a personal pizza and a bottle of wine for $20. I got the 'not so mellow' whereas my friend got the 'chicken coop deville'. The mushroom pizza I got was the perfect pizza for white sauce lovers as well as mushroom fanatics; the chicken BBQ pizza is a combination that's always a hit, and Atwoods delivered their version so well! I specifically loved the balsamic glaze and goat cheese on my not so mellow. This was the perfect place to catch up with a friend while grabbing a drink and a bite. There's quite a bit of seating inside and out with pretty string lights, so it would be a fun casual date for when the weather permits. The pies are made with a lot of love and care, so it is a wait for the pizza, but the service is as swift as possible for these personalized pies. I can't wait to come back and have their garlic knots again--I forgot to order them this last visit!

I have zero complaints about this place! It's a solid spot to grab some really good pizza. The portion size was perfect, and I genuinely enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients. The pizza wasnβt exactly mind-blowing or life-changing, but if you're looking for a cozy place with quality food and a relaxed atmosphere, this is it. What stood out to me was the use of fresh, flavorful toppings paired with a great selection of beer. Itβs clear they care about what theyβre serving. The service was also attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience. While it might not be a destination for a "wow" factor, itβs definitely a reliable go-to for a casual meal. If Iβm ever in the area again, Iβd definitely stop by for another round!
